Advanced Macarons Class Step by Step
STEP 1: Each of our pastry or baking classes starts with the careful measurement of all our ingredients. A critical step in achieving the desired results.
STEP 2: It will then be time to prepare the fillings of the macarons – an opportunity for the class to make different flavours and textures that they will share later in the class.
STEP 3: The next key step in making macarons is the art of making the right meringue. How much to beat the egg whites, when to add the sugar, how to judge the readiness of it all, etc.
STEP 4: Mixing almond powder, powder sugar (aka compound sugar), egg whites and colorant will be the first step to prepare the famed cookies.
STEP 5: And it is time for the macaronade. This is a critical step if there ever was one. Getting to what we call a lava consistency is your objective – under the watchful eye of your Chef of course.
STEP 6: The next step will be the piping of the macarons in rows of beautifully coloured dots. To be basked before being paired as yummy sandwiches.

The highlight of our Paris experience
I cannot rave enough about the classes at le Foodist. What a gem to have found during a recent trip to Paris with my 22yo daughter and 18yo son. We took the advanced macaron class, and it truly was the highlight of our Paris experience. The price was more than reasonable, and in fact a huge bargain given the overall experience! The instruction is marvelous and was engaging for every level of cooking experience, from novice to experienced baker. This is a must do for anyone who wants to have the perfect cooking experience in the perfect food city of Paris!

Would love to take more classes at Le Foodist!
We had an amazing experience with the advanced macarons making class. It was certainly challenging but so much fun. The finished product was so delicious and beautiful that it was totally worth the effort. Florence was an excellent and patient teacher.

Great experience!
Had a fun afternoon with Fredrick as our instructor for an advanced macaron class. Beautiful set up and lovely teaching kitchen. Fredrick is efficient and helpful with a way of making everyone feel relaxed & comfortable—but is serious about helping us master the techniques. Very informative and had great results with a box of pretty macarons to take with me. Highly recommend!
