So many delights await the gourmet in Paris. The city is rightly renowned for its food and offers something for nearly everyone. A walk in a Paris food market offers such sights, smells and tastes to make us hungry and retreat to a nearby cafe for a tasty snack and perhaps a glass of wine. The gourmet in Paris might then enjoy some classic French bistro cooking, where the chef creates simple, robust dishes in a casual environment. For a special experience he may then try one of the many top, Michelin starred restaurants in the city. For the serious gourmet though, Le Foodist has some special treats in store.
At Le Foodist, we offer an unforgettable 'Once Upon a Table' evening for the gourmet in Paris. The evening features a fine traditional gastronomic meal with the best of French cuisine. Each dish in this 5 course dinner has been hand picked by our chef to reflect the finest French culinary traditions and is completed with our signature Le Foodist touches. To accompany our delicious meal, our sommelier has selected for you five quality French wines which perfectly match each dish, rounding off the evening with a delicious champagne.
Throughout your evening with us, your French hosts will share their thoughts and observations on French culture, discussing how the long history and diverse people of France shape the food we see on our plate. We believe that this context increases our understanding of French cuisine. You will also learn some tasting secrets from our somellier that will greatly enhance your enjoyment of the wine and soon have you talking like a true gourmet in Paris. Our tasting techniques are deceptively simple, surprising and extremely accurate when it comes to identifying wine.
If your interest in cooking is sufficiently piqued, why not join us at one of our 'Travel and Chef' French cooking classes. Here you will learn just as a training chef, selecting the best produce from the market and designing a suitable menu before cooking a fabulous meal. You will learn some of the core techniques of French cooking, benefiting from our unique teaching methods that help you to learn more quickly and retain your new skills. Once the cooking is complete, we share the fruits of our labour as we discuss again the culture that brings us our food.
