High or Low pH: Do you prefer tangy or sweet?

It is not so much important how does your bottle cost? It's based on whether or not you favor the flavors. The pH level determines the level of tangy or tarty taste your wine will have. Light, crisp wines will have a lower pH, typically between the 2.6 to 4.5 range. At these levels, your wines' profile will almost seem carbonated or spritzy. This is a clear indicator that you are soaking from a vintage or blend of lower pH levels, a strong acidic taste.

Strong acidic profiles do not equal stronger booze

Probably the biggest misconception when rating or determining the tanginess, is that the tartier or stronger the acid taste, the higher concentration of alcohol. Sadly, this is not true. There are several factors that determine the balance of mouthwatering tartness or sugariness. From the region and climate, the grapes were grown in, to the fermentation and aging process.
