As a Foodie who wants to enjoy the sweet life of a Parisian, taking a French Macarons class is in order. At Le Foodist, all our classes are hands-on, and our classes include instruction from scratch, using the finest ingredients, all the way to delicious confections. With your professional Chef, you will be learning how to cook one of the most challenging French pastries: from mastering the meringue, to the macaronade (the art of the perfect mix), all the way through making delicious fillings with pastry cream, chocolate ganache of pistachio, those delicacies will have no secret left after you will spend 2 to 3 hours in our kitchen perfecting your cooking techniques. And this Pastry class will be followed by teatime – an opportunity to savour your creations with tea and coffee. Before leaving with a box full of them for later pleasures. Macarons require a few steps and tricks to make perfectly; in this class we will show you those and you will get to practice so you feel confident you can make those at home on your own.
Specifically, you will see the more complex Italian Meringue, adding colorant the right way, the macaronade, and making tasty fillings between two shells.
After making your macarons, we will taste them at teatime and share some of our stories about French culture.
