How to easily make salad niçoise in only nine steps

Salad niçoise (for four servings) :

Ingredients

    • 1 frisée / spring lettuce
    • 250g cherry tomatoes
    • 1 large tuna can.
    • 3 eggs
    • 100g black olives
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • Olive oil
    • Lemon juice
    • Balsamic vinegar
    • 1 tablespoon chopped parlsey
    • 1 tablespoon chopped chives
    • 8 fresh basil leaves

Salade Niçoise

Steps

    • Rinse both cherry tomatoes and lettuce. Drain them.
    • Put the lettuce in a salad bowl.
    • Cut the cherry tomatoes and add them to the salad bowl.
    • Drain the sliced tuna and add it to the bowl.
    • Chop your boiled eggs and slice them into four. Add them to the salad bowl.
    • Add the black olives.
    • Prepare the sauce : mix 3 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper and both chopped parlsey and chopped chives.
    • Pour the sauce on your salad or pour it in a ramekin to serve it aside.
    • Add the fresh basil as a decoration, done !

 

Personal tips

You may find other recipes with potatoes and green beans but there are none of them in the traditional salad niçoise.

This salad niçoise is best served during summer, with a rosé !

A rosé or some dry red wines will go very well with your pissaladière !
